My own preferred style is golden age oriental but I tend to teach Egyptian folkloric in class. I have trained with Raqia Hassan, Randa Kamel, Dina, Sorraya and many other dancers in Cairo (including attending Raqia's winter intensive for teachers in December 2007) and have attended workshops with Sara Farouk Camelia, Ava Fleming, Khaled, Lulu Sabonga as well as local teachers including Tracey Gibbs here in the UK. I organise workshops, weekend residentials, regular haflas (the fabulous Kasbah Club) and also cater for events including the dancers' tea at JoY. I run the Learn Belly Dance teacher training course too. All women are welcome at my beginners classes.

Jenny is the youngest Learn Belly Dance teacher and certainly the cheekiest! Her style is fun and open - think Fifi with a Bolton accent! She'll often be found performing to a gothic rock track but adding perfect Saaidi stick work to the darker side. Jenny teaches beginners classes only at the moment and her classes are fun and upbeat with plenty of variety and an emphasis on learning technique through training drills and simple routines. She is a graduate of the Learn Belly Dance teacher training course having completed her full teacher qualification in May 2008. Jenny trained with Katy Carmichael and has attended workshops with a wide range of teachers including Aida Noor. She is a principal dancer with the Kasbah Dance Company and a regular soloist at the Kasbah Club.
