JWAAD Announces the Dates for 2010 Foundation Courses

The JWAAD Foundation course is a pre-requisite to studying the JWAAD Teacher Training Diploma course.

This is not a teaching qualification, it is a Foundation course which must be completed by those wanting to apply to study the JWAAD teaching diploma. Many people also find it useful as a stand alone qualification as it includes all the information required to teach safely.

People recognised as JWAAD teachers are those who have completed the full JWAAD Diploma.

The Foundation Course includes:

    * Anatomy
    * Safe warmups
    * Health and Safety
    * Safe stretches and cool downs
    * Lesson planning
    * Professionalism and Administration modules
    * Dance classes in technique and breaking down moves
    * Three assignments, a personal technique assessment and a practical warm up assessment.

We currently (Jan 2010) have 193 people who have passed the JWAAD Foundation course. Our current pass rate is about 80%.
